周同学老师你好 这边为什么不是long the equity tranche of CDO and short mezzanine tranche with CDO, 讲义上写 short mezzanine tranche with CDS, 可是对于mezzanine tranche来讲，他不是long cds的吗

老师 你没看清我问的问题。。我没问long和short，我问的是为啥有cds

这里long equity tranche相当于看涨equity tranche，认为未来价格不会下跌，反而会上升。CDS相当于保险，从保险公司的角度讲，因为它的价格会上升，此时如果卖出equity tranche的保险就可以收取一笔保费，所以long equity tranche相当于short equity tranche的CDS。

老师 我问的不是这个。。。你解释的这个我懂，我的意思是讲义上第一行写着“long the equity tranche of CDO and short mezzanine tranche with CDS" 不是应该是"long the equity tranche of CDO and short mezzanine tranche with CDO"吗，如果要涉及到 mezzanine tranche with cds的话 应该是long mezzanine tranche with CDS才是啊？

这句话不是你理解的意思，short mezzanine tranche with CDS的意思是用CDS来构造short mezzanine tranche，不是short CDS的意思。
