Johnny同学你好，output gap的定义是the difference between GDP estimated as if the economy were on its trend growth path and the actual value of GDP，也就是根据经济增速趋势所预测出的GDP与实际GDP的差额，要是output gap above trend，那么就是实际GDP高于根据趋势所预测的GDP，所以是output gap为负。只有Initial recovery和early expansion的output gap为负
