1. Proprietary transaction是自营交易，也就是投资银行利用自有资金和融入资金直接参与证券市场交易，自己承担风险来为自己创造利润，而不是帮客户去投资。
2. 教材中对VC投资有如下话语：Many transactions are “proprietary,” arising from relationships between venture capitalists and entrepreneurs. VC的许多投资是自营交易，这个交易是源自于VC投资者和被投资的企业家之间的关系得出的，所以自营交易是VC的特点。
