Notes中给出的是存货数值的明细，以及LIFO下的数值，我们可以通过文字描述计算出LIFO reserve。

LIFO RESERVE可以明白，公式明白，但是为什么不能用标黄的数值作为LIFO inventory进行计算？而是只能用表格中的？

同学，早上好。
因为题目中有说明，Inventories. Inventories are valued at cost, not in excess of market. Cost is determined on the “average-cost” basis, except for the cost of finished products carried by certain subsidiary companies which is determined “last-in, first-out” (“LIFO”) basis.
因此表格中的是总额，而Notes是分部的数值，有平均成本法的，有LIFO的。
