如何构建指数一共说了五个步骤

How an index is constructed：如何构建指数 
 1）What is the target market the index is intended to measure? 该指数旨在衡量的目标市场是什么？
 2）Which securities from the target market should be included in the index? 指标中应包含目标市场的哪些证券？
 3）How should the securities be weighted in the index? 证券应如何在指数中加权？
 4）How often should the index be rebalanced? 指数应该多久进行再平衡？
 5）When should the selection and weighting of securities be re-examined? 什么时候应该重新审查证券的选择和权重？

其中前3步是如何构建指数，后面2步是如何维护和管理指数。虽然都是在构建指数这一个大题话下面的，但是具体分为两个部分。
