友同学请问老师 关于GIPS 我记得 有一条是investment management firms 有必要遵循GIPS, 因为面向的是clients and prospective clients。 这是强制的吗？还是推荐的？ 只要提到investment management firm 就必须是要遵循GIPS吗？还是都是自愿的 这里比较蒙 求赐教 谢谢老师

Bingo同学你好。1）遵守GIPS是自愿的，Complying with the GIPS standards is voluntary；
2）只有真正管理资产的业务主体或者公司才可以对外声称自己遵守了GIPS，only an investment management firm that actually manage assets can claim compliance with the Standards.。
